Safe & sustainable toy companies you might want to know about

As a new mom, I love learning about new, exciting toy companies on the market. I’ve found a few eco-friendly, beautiful, engaging brands that most of my friends and family hadn’t heard of. I wanted to share them with you! You’ll definitely want to know about some of these companies around the world. After all, the holidays are around the corner!

Most of you are familiar with brands like Fisher Price and Little Tikes. So, hold on to your rocking horses, and take a look at these new kids on the block. Boutique baby stores and Amazon carry these brands, in addition to their own websites. To expand the horizons of our little ones, it’s a great idea to introduce them to different types of materials like wood and fabric.

1. Haba

A German company, providing support through play to children on their path through life and to make their lives happier and more stimulating. They achieve this goal through particularly high standards in quality production, quality safety measures, quality designs and high quality, safe materials. Non toxic and super cute! A must have for your 6-12 month old.

2. HAPE

Striving for meticulous quality, Hape lovingly manufactures with a strong sense of social and ecological responsibility. From the initial design, to sourcing eco-friendly materials, to production, and finally consumer packaging, this exceptional toy company exhibits a rare understanding of and dedication to the well being of both our planet and our children. This is what every little one needs.

3. Janod

Janod’s playful, sturdy and joyous creations forge unique connections between children and their toys, direct from France. Our little guy is absolutely loving his new music set.

4. PLAN

Using the sustainable methods of rubber trees, “Planwood,” organic pigment and water based dyes, this company knocks off our socks for safe engineering and creation. Our son has has adores his first phone and chicken stackables since he was 4 months old!

5. Pebble

Babies, toddlers and children smile with wonder at the cute designs and quirky expressions. Parents smile at the joy of watching their little ones and knowing that their purchase also helped a family a long way away. The Hathay Bunano artisans smile knowing that they have sustainable, regular and flexible employment. It’s a in for all. We have the Pebbles Giraffe and he is super cute!

Now, this holiday season, be sure to add a few of these to your kids’ wish lists and your baby registries!
