What is “A Place of Grey?”

Throughout my own journey, I have come to the determination that “wellness” and health are a spectrum. You’re not “healthy” or “unhealthy.” You’re all the things. You are a little bit of everything. Some things are healthy and some are not. Some things are healthy for some people, and some are not.

Parenting, marriage, art, business, relationships, values, opinions, it’s all grey. Not solemn, but inclusive.

I’ve been fascinated and consumed by the industry of health and wellness for more than half of my life. According to the Global Wellness Industry, we spend over $4.5 trillion on “wellness” every year. We’re desperate to lose weight, have more energy, feel sexier, become more positive, and “fix” what we’ve broken over the years.

But I think a lot of us are focusing on the fix rather than the cause.

I spent a lot of time, energy, and money on my education, growing my practice, and mostly, improving my own health by changing my diet (like a million times) and lifestyle. I read lots of books, took classes, saw doctors, listened to audiobooks, and I’m still learning, but I just can’t get enough.

I was on an endless search for the right way to be healthy. Then I realized - there is no one way. The area is grey.

This website is the art and words that came out of my experience so far. I have a yearning to write about my story, my experience, my frustrations, and how I feel, hoping that you’ll read it and learn something, try something, make something in your life or body better, and feel less alone. Thanks for being here.
